Kimberley Black, Founder & Educator
What does a career background in hospitality, automotive sales, adult education, dance instruction, on-camera acting, and a video resume & introduction service say about Kimberley Black? Is it that she can’t decide what she wants to be when she grows up? Maybe. Is it that she values a dynamic work environment that is both interactive and fun, and where she can help others to strive and thrive? Definitely!
Transitioning to a career in adult education after completing her undergraduate degree as a mature student, Kimberley realized the importance of finding a way to stand out as a job applicant. She knew that good personal presentation and making a good first impression was essential to any client-facing role such as sales, customer service, or education.
Drawing from her presentation skills and on-camera experience, and employing the creative abilities of videographer/editor, Gaia Acosta Allard, she set out to reinvent her first impression with a video resume. The positive feedback Kimberley received gave her an idea: with a little script guidance and on-camera coaching, she could help others reinvent their first impressions by offering a service that creates video resumes and introductions.
VideoResumesWork combines Kimberley’s career strengths and passions by providing a service that helps others shine and increase their chances for success. Whether it is finding a job or new clients, video resumes and introductions are the new way to make a first impression!
